For Freedom: Ban broadcasts of Russian TV in state institutions

The Za Svabody (For Freedom) movement wants to stop broadcasts of the Russian TV channels in government offices and public places. The movement representatives turned to the country leadership with an appeal about the issue explaining that recently Russian TV channels became mouthpieces for militaristic and neo-imperial revanchism.

The public organization understands that disabling of Russian channels by the current administration is unlikely. Therefore, to avoid the influence of the media from the warring neighbor, the movement For Freedom has appealed to the owners of private institutions – from hairdressers to cafes.

“With a significant number of Belarusian TV channels in place, the situation can be interpreted as an ideological promotion of foreign militant propaganda which threatens national interests.”

We can already observe the deployment of information war in Belarus, which for the country is fraught with a loss of its sovereignty, warns the movement activists.
