There might have been cases of ballot rigging in the course of the recent parliamentary elections in Belarus, a Polish election observer believes. The way a ballot box seal looked gave birth to suspicion, Tomasz Bladyniec said on Facebook.
“The most ridiculous things and the greatest tension were seen at the polling stations where students were voting early. At Station 207 (Lenin Street, Slutsk), I took a photo of the early voting ballot box seal on Saturday evening and one more time – on Sunday morning. Well, everyone stands a chance to make its own conclusions,” the OSCE observer says.
The seal looks as if it was damaged. “When I was taking the picture, the head of the commission, Yury Bandarenka angrily asked me: “Are you monitoring the election or carrying out some expertise?” Bladyniec stressed.
