The sex shop Kakhanne (Love) has appeared in Minsk. Internet users call it ‘first Belarusian-speaking sex shop’.
According to shop assistant Hanna, it opened three months ago, but the signboard has been placed on the wall of the mall in Kalvaryyskaya street only recently since it has long been coordinated with the city authorities.
“The name Kakhanne was chosen because it is impossible to accurately translate the word into Russian. It is the owner of the network who came up with the idea,” she said.
The goods have labels and desctiptions in Russian and English, but if a Belarusian-speaking customer comes, the sellers will attend to them in their native language. Among others, the shop offers products made in Belarus, e.g. lubricants and BDSM kits Taboo.
