The film “Home Games” won the “Best European Documentary” nomination at the “Odesa International Film Festival”.
The film tells an incredible story of the 20-year-old football player Alina, who struggles with monstrous life difficulties, but gets into the youth team of Ukraine.
The film was shot by the Ukrainian director Alisa Kovalenko, the author of the documentary “Alice in the Country of War.”
The film was created thanks to the State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema, IDFA Bertha Found, Syndicado, Telewizja Polska SA, Belsat TV together with The Guardian Documentary and Current Time TV.
Grand Prix of the Odessa Film Festival was awarded to the film “Crystal Swan” of the Belarusian director Darya Zhuk.
