‘Syarozha’
A movie by Jerzy Kalina has been awarded at the festival of Orthodox film ‘Pokrov’ which took place in Kyiv.
His work ‘Syarozha’ was presented in the category of documentary films and got the third prize. The house was full during the festival screening, the film director said.
The documentary tells the story of a Belarusian entrepreneur who was born in Poland and now lives here.
Syarhei ‘Syarozha’ Nichyparuk, the main character of the film, is a resident of the village of Budy near Bialowieza forest. He was a member of the Communist party, but later finished an Orthodox school of theology.
