French actress and film director Fanny Ardant has met with Svetlana Alexievich in Minsk and shared her love story with the Belarusian writer.
Being the guest ofbhonour at the cinema festival ‘Listapad’, the famous actress asked the French embassy to Belarus to arrange a meeting with Svetlana Alexievich who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2015. Fanny Ardant has been in the films since 1974. She worked in Europe and Hollywood with many reputed directors, including Francois Truffaut, Alain Resnais and Francois Ozon. In 2008 she made her debut as a director releasing the drama “Ashes and Blood”.
