Exhibition devoted to Belarusians in Polish Parliament open in Polish Sejm

Polish Sejm is holding an exhibition dedicated to the representatives of the Belarusian minority in the Polish Parliament. Several stands feature historical information about famous Belarusians who in the interwar period created the foundations of democracy in Poland and defended the rights and interests of our countrymen.

Among the presented individuals are the pioneers of the left and right Belarusian parties: Adam Stankevich – Catholic priest, the first chairman of the Belarusian Christian Democracy, Branislau Tarashkevich – one of the founders of the party Belarusian Peasant Labor Party.

Historical exhibition reminds for European officials and visitors of the Polish Parliament of the Belarusian issue, noted the chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Sejm Robert Tyszkiewicz.

The idea came from Sylwia Tofiluk who for a year collected information and put it in the stands. The exhibition will be open for a week.
