Eurosatory-2016: Belarus-made light armored vehicle in France


Belarus has showcased a mock-up specimen of the V-1 light armored vehicle at the Eurosatory 2016 exhibition which is being held in France on June 13-17. The V-1 is perfect for conducting warfare under urban conditions.

Its manufacturer, the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant JSC (Volat), designs and makes unique transport solutions for its customers to carry heavy loads on public roads and in difficult terrains and off-road conditions.

The developers took into account the experience of local hostilities and armed conflicts of recent decades and used intelligent solutions to provide high performance characteristics of the product, the Belarusian State Military and Industrial Committee reports.

The exhibition visitors also stand a chance to see 8×8 chassis Belarusian-made MZKT-600201, which is designed for transportation of both personnel and cargo as well as to carry various special-purpose equipment and weapon systems.

The chassis is equipped with the diesel six-engine Caterpillar C15 ACERT with capacity of 540 h.p. It is one-meter fordable and capable of crossing hills and carrying 16 tons. Different types of weapons can be mounted on the chassis.
