The airplane of the legendary Argentine football player, the new Board Chairman of the Brest Dynamo, Diego Maradona, landed at the Brest airport today on Monday. This is the first appearance of the Argentine in Belarus.
The communication with the press at the airport was not planned — the Argentinian was immediately taken to the hotel “Hermitage”. Later that night, Maradona gave a press conference.
He also attended the match of the Belarusian championship between “Dynamo Brest” and “Shakhtar”.
Diego Maradona is considered one of the best players in history. He became World Champion in 1986 with the national team of Argentina. He played for the Spanish “Barcelona” and the Italian “Napoli”, in which he twice won the Italian championship. His career ended in 1994 due to a scandal with drugs and disqualification. From 2008 to 2010 he headed the national team of Argentina, which reached the 1/4 World Cup.
