Gerard Depardieu is not going to take Belarusian citizenship, Russian News service reports with reference to the actor’ representative Arno Frille.
“He has Russian citizenship, French citizenship – everything is OK. Belarus is another country, and he visits it due to his work. Here we have a lot of projects, we are filming a big TV serial film, and then we’ll make a movie in Russia,” Frille said.
Earlier, in an interview with Le Figaro TV Magazine the French actor stated his willingness to sell his property in France and move to Belarus.
“Now I live in Italy. But soon I will live in Belarus. It is a very beautiful country,” he said.
In July, Belarusian president Alyaksandr Lukashenka and his son Kolya mowed grass in the company of Gerard Depardieu.
Showing off as a hard-working leader and caring father is definitely playing into the hands of Alyaksandr Lukashenka before the presidential election which is be held on October 11, 2015.
