The Belarusian president is on an official visit to Moldova on April 18-19.
The meeting of Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Moldova’s Igor Dodon is taking place in Chisinau.
“During the one-on-one meeting and extended negotiations the presidents are discussing the development of the Belarusian-Moldovan cooperation, and interaction in integration formats, including within the Eurasian Economic Union and the CIS,” the presidential press service reports.
The two leaders are expected to participate in the Day of Field. The event is dedicated to the beginning of the sowing season.
According to official data, the Belarusian exports to Moldova increased by 13.3% ($133.4 mln) in 2017, imports fell by 0.8% ($83.9 mln).
