“Citizens of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions” will be entering the local universities on almost the same conditions as the nationals of Belarus.
The state agency Belta.by has reported that the Ministry of Education had determined the timing of the opening campaign to enter higher education institutions of Belarus.
Relevant regulation of the Ministry of Education passed on March 14, 2016 can be found on the National Legal Internet Portal.
Application period for state paid program is July 8-14. Entrance exams begin on July 15th. Additional exams for free places will be held from July 26-28.
For applicants who have not passed the competition for certain field of studies and require special professional exams (creative, physical) earlier periods of admission campaign were set. Approval for the agricultural specialties will be possible only after the completion of the agricultural work, the document says.
In addition, the Ministry of Education determined the timing of application filling for the free and paid education for the residents of Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine. The procedure is supposed to be regulated by the special decree of the head of Belarus #420 passed on August 30, 2014. However, the document does not contain any specifics. “National Institute for Higher Education examines the certificate and decides on the possibility or impossibility of admission to universities. It will check the authenticity of the document, rather than knowledge,” said the representative of the department.
