Brest customs seizes record batch of cigarettes

It happened at the republican customs clearance point “Brest-North”.

Smugglers hid cigarettes in two tank containers used for liquid cargo.

The freight train was bound for the European Union. Offenders manufactured special hatches of woven fabrics for more than 550 packages. To get to the contraband, special equipment for working in a confined gas space was used. As a result, over 300 thousand packs of cigarettes worth more than Br 2,6 Bln were seized.
