Brazil: Bare-breasted girls hold protest action against ban on topless sunbathing (18+)

The protestors are set to persuade society that it is no shame to be topless on the beach. Pursuing this aim, they laid chest bare on one of the biggest beaches in Rio de Janeiro.

“Being topless on a beach is outlawed in Brazil but people can sunbathe in the way they like,” Barbara, a participant of the action, says.

The number of their supporters – male and female – is rising year by year, the campaigners stress. “We believe the situation will change after a while, but one should not sit idle and just wait for a change to come. Our protest is a bit mischievous but natural, which attracts people’s attention,” activist Anna Paula Naguera says.
