The Investigative Committee has confirmed the detention of the chairman of the Braslau District Executive Committee Uladzimir Draneuski, he is suspected of taking bribes.
Draneuski is a suspects on two articles of the Criminal Code – part 3, Article 430 (large scale bribe, or bribe received by an organized group or a person holding a high position) as well as Part 3, Article 426 (abuse of power or official authority).
The corruption case also involves the wife of Uladzimir Draneuski, who used to manage the economic department in the same executive committee.
Earlier it was reported that on June 27 the head of the Braslau District Executive Committee was detained. Witnesses claimed that Draneuski and his wife, as well as some of their subordinates were were taken out of building by the law enforcement agents.
Uladzimir Draneuski occupied his post of the Braslau rayon head in January 2015, before that he headed the Unitary Enterprise “Housing and Communal Services” in Chashniki.
