Border service patrol plane did not violate Belarus airspace - Ukraine


A DA42 patrol plane of Ukraine’s State Border Service that on September 25 carried out a planned flight over areas of Chernihiv and Zhytomyr regions did not violate Belarusian airspace, the Ukrainian side states.

As reported earlier, Ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus Igor Kizim was handed a note of the violation on September, 28.

“As for possible violation of Belarusian air space by the plane, on September 25 the border service was carrying out a planned flight with the aim of monitoring airspace of the state border [with Belarus] being patrolled by border service patrols… Air traffic controllers with the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (Ukraerorukh) monitored the flight. According to their information there were no border violations,” Oleh Slobodian, assistant to the chief of the border service. said on his Facebook page.
