Belsat TV presenter Gleb Labadzenka receives "For Freedom of Thought" prize


On June 23, the “For Freedom of Thought” prize was awarded in the Vasil Bykau’s homeland in the Bychki village, Vitsebsk region. This year’s winner was Gleb Labadzenka.

Gleb is a journalist, poet and public figure. He was born in 1986 in Minsk. He graduated from the Kolasauski Lyceum, then studied journalism in the BSU. He worked in newspapers and on radio, he has been with Belsat TV since 2014. He is the founder of the popular educational project “Mova Nanova” and the host of the talk show “Each of Us” and the program “Mova Nanova” on Belsat TV.

In the past, this prize was avarded to Ryhor Baradulin, Nil Hilevich, Lyavon Volsky, Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu, Zmitser Dashkevich and other public figures who had clearly shown their support in favor of Belarus and freedom.

The prize was created by politician Alyaksandr Milinkevich. This year, funds for the prize were collected using talaka.org’s crowd-funding platform.
