New sound, the first in album history professional stage design and costumes as well as the well-known, prominent figures in the lead roles. The famous musical of the 90s “Narodny Albom” was officially presented by the director of the ‘Belsat” channel Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy at the “Uskhod Kultury” festival.
“I am very proud of this project, it took us a lot of effort to do everything. This project is iconic for Belarus. Twenty years ago artists, musicians, poets gathered in Minsk and came up with it, it was a little amateurish, but now, on the 20th anniversary, we will give it a professional finish. Scenography is already being installed in Bialystok Opera, because “Narodny Albom” is not just a song, it is a kind of rock opera. I am glad that we managed to gather its main artists who participated in the “Albom” 20 years ago, said Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy.
The ‘Uskhod Kultury’ festival is the annual joint cultural initiative of the Polish cities of the east (Rzeszow, Lublin and Bialystok) with the countries of the “Eastern Partnership”. On September 4th, guest of the Bialystok Opera house festival will see their favorite Kazik, Juzik, Bolek, Lolek and Adelka with Alicja — the characters of the “Narodny Albom” musical created in the 90s by the best creators of the independent Belarusian stage. The 20th anniversary show of the “Albom” will be organized by the ‘Belsat’ TV channel.
The show “Narodny Albom. 20 years later” will premiere within the Wschód Kultury. Inny Wymiar festival coordinated by Bialystok Cultural Center and National Cultural Center with support of kulturadostepna.pl.
Belsat TV is the executive producer and author of the idea. The festival is co-produced by Polish National Audio and Video Institute NInA.
