Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy

“Belsat” Director Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy has been awarded Cross of Freedom and Solidarity (Krzyż Wolności i Solidaności). The award is given by the President of Poland at the request of the Institute of National Remembrance (Instytut Pamięci Narodowej).

Agnieszka Romashevskaya-Guzy wrote about receiving the high award on ‘Facebook’.

“This award is very important for me, because it is a measure of the recognition of the facts … More and less important state awards are often given according to the taste of the people in power. Cross of Freedom and Solidarity is a proof of devotion and work for the benefit of freedom and solidarity. Speaking more pathetically, it is the recognition of the fight for a free Poland,”  “Belsat” Director said shortly after the ceremony.

Cross of Freedom and Solidarity is generally awarded to social activists, who fought the communist dictatorship of the People’s Republic of Poland (Polska Rzeczpospolita Ludowa).
