The court decision was passed by Rechytsa district court judge Svyatlana Pyrkh on April 13. The freelancer who cooperates with “Belsat” was fined 30 basic units for the illegal production of media materials (Part 2, Article 22.9 of the Administrative Code).
The journalist was accused of interviewing people for a story filmed in Rechitsa about the terrible conditions of the people living in Voykava street. Almost six years ago Rechitsa executive committee declared it unfit for habitation. However, about 40 people still live in the two-story barracks.
On April 12, judge Tamara Zastaunetskaya fined Larysa Shchyrakova 41 basic units (943 rubles).
Over the past two years she has been brought to administrative responsibility for the performance of her professional duties more than ten times.
