Belavia to fly to Zaporizhia in Ukraine

Accordng to Belavia’s Deputy Director General Ihar Charhinets, the Belarusian national airline plans to launch a new flight Minsk-Zaporizhia in 2018.

He added that earlier the airline wanted to open a flight to Dnieper, but did not get a permission.

“The only place we wanted to fly and we were not allowed to was Dnipro. We applied twice. At first we were refused in summer 2016 on the grounds that the airport runway had some reconstruction works, technical difficulties — we understand,” said Belavia’s Deputy General Director.

“This fall, our second application was rejected. This is a definite violation of the intergovernmental agreement between the two countries, which is also quite liberal. Surprisingly, they do not need money,” added Charhinets.

Last year, “Belavia” launched regular flights to Lviv.
