Bialowieza Forest in top 25 places in Eastern Europe bucket list

The rating of attractions that are worth a visit has been published by a respected British newspaper The Telegraph. The Belarusian National Park is ranked at 18th place.

“Located on the south-west of Belarus and on the border with Poland, Bialowieza Forest is all that remains of the vast forest cover, which once covered the countries of the North European Plain. It is the largest and best preserved fragment of ancient forest in Europe, which is lacking a little in diversity of flora and fauna. There are more than 2 thousand species of plants and fungi, more than 200 species of birds and mammals that cannot be found anywhere else, such as the lynx, otters, red squirrels, pine martens, wild boars, wild cats, wolves, as well as the largest animal of them all —  the European bison,” writes the article.

The Telegraph also recommends visiting Tallinn, Riga, Krakow, Prague, Biosphere Reserve “Danube Delta”.

Starting from 12 February citizens of 80 countries will be able to fly to Belarus without a visa for five days.
