Belarusians will need no special permits for Russian border zone

According to Anton Bychkouski, spokesman of the Belarus State Border Committee, information about special permits that Belarusians will need to enter the border zone with Russia on October 1 spread online is untrue.

On July 3, the federal portal of the draft regulations published a draft order of the Russian FSB “On approval of rules of border regime”, which defines the rules in the border area, including the rules of entry, temporary stay and movement of persons and vehicles in the border zone of the Russian Federation.

“There are no passes (special permits) planned for Belarusian citizens by the draft order for entering the Russian Federation border zone established along the border with Belarus,” said the official representative of the SBC.
