Belarusians should be grateful to God for Daniella snow storm - Lukashenka

The nation should thank God for the heavy snowfalls that have recently happened, the Belarusian president believes.

He made a statement on Friday when hearing out a report on the measures taken to tackle the consequences of Daniella snow storm.

“We should be thankful to God for giving such weather to us,” the Belarusian leader stressed.

In his view, the last year’s draught brought more damage to the country.

“The more snow we have today, the faster the environmental balance will be restored. It would be great to have 3-4 more cyclones of the kind,” Lukashenka told state-run news agency BelTA.

The coat of snow protects winter crops, in particular rape plants, from frost.
