Belarusians' income in freefall


In the first quarter of 2017, real money income of Belarusians decreased by 2.2% to the level of the first three months of 2016, BelaPAN reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee.

Real income includes net revenue, fees and contributions, adjusted for the consumer price index.

Real money income of the population of Belarus has been in freefall for more than 2 years. Since the beginning of 2017, its falling rate has slowed down. In 2016 income fell by 7.3%, in January 2017 – by 4.5%, in January-February — by 3.2%.
