Belarusians fly around Earth on single-engine aircraft

Pilots Andrei Barysevich and Alyaksandr Tsentser have completed the round-the-world trip on a “Cessna 182T Skylane” plane, covering 29 thousand kilometers.

They circled the globe spending a little less than a month on the way, including 145 hours in the air and covering 29 thousand kilometers.

During the trip, the pilots visited 40 cities in ten countries, crossed the Atlantic Ocean. The men said that they were lucky: during the trip, the weather was fine, and they did not experience any major problems in the air.

In a conversation with BT, Alyaksandrr Tsentser, who was the commander of the aircraft, said that one of the hardest moments was when Barysevich was running a temperature of +38 C.

The most difficult places — the Atlantic, Alaska and Chukotka — the Belarusians passed without incident.

The greatest surprise for travelers was how fast time travels.

“A whole month flew by like a week,” Barysevich said.

The pilots are already thinking about a new trip — over the equator or the South Pole.

Alyaksandr Tsentser is a well-known Belarusian businessman, head of the A-100 group of companies, chairman of the Belarusian Federation of Aviation Sports. “A-100” reconstructed the airport in Lipki, which now has all the facilities for servicing light aircraft.

“Belarusian News” reports that the plane on which the round-the-world trip was made belongs to him.

The pilots kept a diary of their trip at a special Internet page.
