Belarusian ruble continues weakening: Br 20K for U.S. dollar


The U.S. dollar has jumped to 20,035 Belarusian rubles at today’s trading on the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange in Minsk.

The Russian ruble reached Br 260,24. At the same time, euro is sold at Br 22,491.

In November 2015, president Alyaksandr Lukashenka signed the Decree No 450 “On Denomination of Official Currency of the Republic of Belarus.”

The denomination will be held from July 1, 2016 until December 31, 2016 according to the decree of the President. Banknotes of 2000 in the form of banknotes will be replaced by banknotes of 2009 in the form of banknotes and coins in the ratio of 10 thousand rubles of 2000 to 1 ruble of 2009.
