Belarusian fighter for Ukraine meeting with diaspora in Europe


Yan Melnikau has already visited Belgia’s Antwerp and plans to meet with the Belarusian diaspora in Germany and the Czech Republic.

“Our goal is establishing contacts with the Belarusian diaspora, informing of the struggle in Ukraine and raising funds for Belarusian volunteers. In November, there were meetings in Warsaw and Vilnius, on Saturday such event was held in Belgium. On December 22, a meeting with our diaspora will be organized in Munich, then Yan will head for Prague,” Yakub Khmara, a fighter of the tactical group ‘Belarus’, told belsat.eu.

 

The next meeting is scheduled for December 20 in Munich and for December 22 in Prague. The meeting time and venue will be announced later. All persons interested in arranging a meeting with the soldiers of Tactical Group ‘Belarus’ can contact them via takt.grupa@gmail.com.

Yan Melnikau was born in eastern Belarus. During the protests on Kyiv’s Maidan he was among its defenders, then he joined a group of fighters for Ukraine in Donbas. Yan is a volunteer at tactical group ‘Belarus’ that includes Belarusian-born fighter of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps of the Right Sector.
