After the victory over South Korea women’s basketball team, Belarusians received the right to play in the Olympics.
Belarus defeated the South Korean team 56:39.
The game was part of the Olympic qualification round. During the previous qualification stage, Belarusians lost to Koreans 65:66, but they proved to be stronger in the final match.
It will be the second time in history that the Belarusian Women’s basketball team will play in the Olympics. The first time when the women’s team qualified for the tournament was in 2008. Both times, the team was lead by the Belarusian coach Anatol Buyalski.
The Olympics will take place in the Brazilian Rio de Janeiro from 5 to 21 August.
