Belarusian escapes from Belarus-Russia border and 'saves' 2 tons of beef

According to the press service of Rosselkhoznadzor, when the staff of the Sebezh  customs officers conducted inspections at the Russia-Belarus border, they revealed the two tons of unmarked beef heading from Belarus into Russia. It also had no veterinary and transport documents.

“The goods were being transfered with violations of sanitary and veterinary rules in a vehicle not designed to carry raw meat, there was no refrigeration equipment,” naviny.by quoted Rosselkhoznadzor.

After the Belarusian driver learned that the product would be detained, he “willfully left without the approval of the customs officers” and likely headed to Belarus.
