Belarusian border guards spoke about recent cases of border violation

Over the past three days, border guards have brought 25 people to administrative responsibility for violation of the state border regime. All of them produced invalid documents.

Among the infringers are citizens of Russia, Armenia, Moldova and Ukraine, but the majority of them are Belarusian citizens.

According to the press service of the State Border Committee, the inspection showed that all violations were related to the physical state of the documents. Passports were in a dilapidated state, wet, with torn pages (in some cases they were pasted in again independently) and simply overdue. Some people tried cross the border with a passport that was listed in the database as lost or stolen.

Due to an invalid passport, border guards will not only let you across the border, but they can also give you a maximum fine of 1,225 BYN.
