Belarus launched website for tourists

Home page of the Belarus tourist portal

The belarus.travel website has gone online with a purpose of representing our country abroad.

“This year we have updated the website of the national tourism agency, which is designed for professionals. We also now have a country portal belarus.travel.” said a leading specialist of the national tourism agency information support unit Nastassia Shatkevich.

Information on the portal will be translated into several languages; currently, it is presented only in Russian.

“The site was launched only yesterday, for a month and a half, we will be filling it with content,” explained Ms Shatkevich.

On February 12, citizens of 80 countries will be able to fly into Belarus without a visa for five days.

A few days ago, Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei said that Belarus will “step by step” solve the visa problem, so that foreigners have more opportunities for visa-free travel.
