Belarus to receive $ 700 million loan from Russia

According to Russian Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Storchak, the loan papers will be signed after the government resolution, news agency TASS reports.

“This is technical work, all political decisions have been taken. We will arrange all the documents and that’s it — $ 700 million, as we agreed, as was announced, ” said the deputy minister.

Mr Storchak added that the documents for a loan will be signed after the government released an order.

The Russian news agency recalls that the heads of Russia and Belarus had reached an agreement to refinance the Minsk debt. It was planned that Russia would provide $ 800 million for restructuring of the Belarusian debt.

Earlier, Deputy Finance Minister Maksim Yermalovich said that Minsk hopes to get a Russian loan of $ 700 million in July-August 2017.
