Belarus signs contract to purchase 12 Su-30SM fighters from Russia


The news came from Belarus Defense Ministry, belta.by reports.

“We have signed a contract with Russia to refresh the combat aircraft fleet,” said the Ministry of Defense.

The contract provides for the purchase of 12 aircraft.

In May, the signing of the contract was announced by commander of the Air Force and Air Defense of Belarus Armed Forces, Major-General Aleh Dvihaliou.

According to Major-General, Belarus will also continue to upgrade the fleet of Yak-130 aircraft, used for training of cadets.
