Belarusians are work in Kharkiv within the human rights humanitarian mission in Ukraine, organized by the Human Rights Center Viasna. Volunteers are helping to get humanitarian aid to displaced people and solve problems together with the local authorities and public organizations.

“On this hot Saturday afternoon in Kharkiv, the mission members helped to sort the humanitarian aid for displaced persons, engaged with refugee children and even put together furniture. And today we have also substitute the Kharkiv volunteers at the telephone hot line,” wrote the Belarusian human rights activists in the mission diary.

The humanitarian mission involving Belarusians began on June 5 by the cooperation with the Kharkiv public initiative “Station Kharkiv”. Soon the volunteers intend to expand their work to other cities as well: in Chernihiv, Lviv and Odessa.
