This period may not be enough: half of Chinese people who come to us spend in Belarus over a month.

On May 16, in Beijing, Alyaksandr Lukashenka met with Chinese President Xi Jing pins. During the meeting, leaders of the two countries summed up the forum “One belt – One Way”, discussed the activities of the “Big Stone” industrial park and cooperation in investment and financial sphere.

One of the topics discussed was the development of tourism between Belarus and China.

At present, there is a visa-free regime between the countires for holders of diplomatic or official passports, as well as tourist groups. Also, there are appropriate arrangements for short trips in some cities in China. China is on the list of 80 countries whose citizens can stay in Belarus without a visa for five days.

The Chinese are some of the most active tourists in the world. Last year, 120 million people went overseas from China, of whom about 50 million visited European countries. Belarus is annually visited by only a few thousand Chinese citizens, half of them are in the country for more than 30 days.
