BATE cuts players and coaches' pay by 30%

BATE’s elimination from Euroleague hit its pocket.

BATE has reduced by 30 percent the wage of its employees, including players and coaches. The solution, which the club announced a few weeks ago, has been reported by “Trybuna” newspaper.

After BATE’s defeat to “Astana” and, accordingly, the departure of the Europa League, Anatol Kapski spoke harshly not only about the players ( “A lot of players are living it up in the club”), but also some members of the coaching staff ( “It was hot in Astana, we need to get a beer”).

“Fundamentally everything needs to change. Success of BATE players, head coach resulted in many freeloaders. I do not know if I will find strength to start all over again. And I have to begin tomorrow,” said Kapski to ‘Pressball’.

In addition to the reduction of salaries, two players left the club: Alyaksandr Karnitski moved to “Hapoel”, Mazaleuski terminated the contract with the club by mutual agreement.
