The order of the Russian leadership to destroy the goods under sanctions by “all available means” are implemented.

In Samara, authorities destroyed a batch of pork, imported there in bypass of the embargo. The shipment was as big as six trucks with 114 tons of products that were detained in April, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the documents, the pork originated in Brazil. However, this was not confirmed byBrazilian authorities, which aroused the suspicions of the Rosselkhoznadzor. The department concluded that the “ham” came from the Wild West.

The law on the destruction of banned products will come into force on 6 August. The decree was signed by Vladimir Putin on July 29. According to the document, banned products found on the border, in stores and warehouses are to be destroyed in the presence of at least two independent witnesses and filmed on video.

Some deputies proposed instead of destroying the unwanted products send them to Donbass or give them to the poor and refugees from Ukraine. Internet users alsoo reacted to the plans for destruction
