Another person involved in case of Nemtsov’s murder

The investigation revealed the identity of a man nicknamed ‘Ruslik’, who, if what Zaur Dadayev said is true, armed the people who murdered the politician and promised them to pay 5 million Russian rubles, influential Russian newspaper Kommersant reports, citing sources close to law enforcement authorities.

Zaur Dadayev is the main suspect of the murder of Boris Nemtsov. Firstly Dadayev confessed to the crime, but then said that he had incriminated himself. Human rights activists state that Dadaev was severely beaten and tortured during interrogations.

‘Ruslik’ has not been put on the wanted list yet: the investigators are collecting additional evidence of his possible involvement in the murder. A presumptive hirer is also from Chechnya, Kommersant says.

‘Ruslik’ was mentioned in testimony given by Dadayev who said that he had fallen into company with him in Moscow.
