Alexander Nevsky monument to appear in Vitsebsk

This was announced on March 26 by the chairman of the Vistebsk City Executive Committee Viktar Nikalaikin, BelTA reports.

“Works are underway to construct the monument to the commander and Prince Alexander Nevsky. This or next year the monument must appear in Vitsebsk and will become another tourist attraction,” the official said at a meeting of the Vitsebsk Oblast Executive Committee.

The monument will be placed on a pedestal near the Church of the Annunciation on the banks of the Dzvina. In 2014, in Vitsebsk was erected a monument to Prince Algerd.
