Aftermath: World War II air bomb found in downtown Mahiliou


During excavation works a FAB-50 bomb has been discovered in the Belarusian city of Mahiliou.

A standby unit was informed about the ammo found under a reconstructed bridge over the Dnieper came on Wednesday at 10:15, the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations says. Upon arrival, the experts ascertained that the finding was a high-explosive FAB-50 bomb which has been there since the Second World War, news agency BelaPAN reports.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”114379″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]A combat engineer group of military unit No 6713 removed the bomb from the ground and took it away for disarming.
