32 companies most of which are mainly related to Belarusian businessman Uladzimir Peftsieu have been also blacklisted. Mr. Peftsieu is believed to be a close associate of Lukashenka and one of his «bag-men».
Thus, Switzerland which is not a member of the EU has supported the bloc’s sanctions on Belarus introduced in February-March, 2012.
Now 243 individuals are already subject to a travel ban and a freeze of their assets within Switzerland.
