80% of Russians note deterioration in economic situation - survey

80% of Russian complain of price hikes and fall of living standards. Nearly half of them believe that such situation was caused by oil price crash (Brent oil has recently fallen more than $6 to $71.25 )

According to the recent survey conducted by Levada Centre, there are people who shift the blame for Russia’s current problems on the West. 33 % of respondents said that the crisis was triggered by the sanctions the EU imposed on Russia after the annexation of Crimea and instigating a war in Donbas.

Almost every third Russian (30% of interviewees) agrees that the state’s problems are growing up due to huge expenses on Crimea.
