Civil campaign «Tell the Truth» performed an extraordinary protest action in Independence Square.
In the present-day Belarus organizing a picketing or political meeting is fraught with arrest, simple detention and paying off fines imposed by the court. But it is the plush toys that conveyed deep outrage over Alexander Lukashenka’s policy on February, 10, 2012 in Minsk.
The activists of «Tell the Truth» campaign placed the stuffed animals on a flowerbed not far from bus stop «Independence Square». Hand-made placards with slogans like «Alexander, release political prisoners!», «Where is the freedom of the press?» on them were fixed to the toys.
