Siarkhey Martynaw, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs, will not participate in the upcoming Eastern Partnership Summit, which is to be held on September 29th -30th in Warsaw. Instead, Belarus will be represented by their ambassador to Poland – Viktar Haysionak.
Mr. Haysionak is supposed to speak at the plenary session and present „the evaluation of results and perspectives of cooperation with the Eastern Partnership”, informed Belarusian MFA press service. This means, that despite formal invitation for the minister Martynaw, Belarus will be represented by a lower-rank official.
Radoslaw Sikorski, the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs informed that he issued an invitation for the Siarkhey Martynaw to participate in the Eastern Partnership Summit in Warsaw after consultations with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs.
