Belarus will not trade prisoners for talks with the EU

Belarusian President, Aleksander Lukashenka informed that he has no intention to discuss with the EU an exchange of political prisoners in his country and he finds it unnecessary to “trade them for negotiations”. – We absolutely don’t need trading with the EU and exchanging this people for some sort of negotiations, conversations – BielTA news agency quoted Lukashenka’s words.

This was a response to a recent comment by Radoslaw Sikorski, the Polish Foreign Affairs Minister, who offered economic consultations to Belarus in exchange for freeing political priosoners – informed BielTA.
