Belsat correspondent sentenced to 10 days in prison


A court in Hrodna sentenced Ales Dzianisav, journalist and Belsat TV correspondent to 10 days in prison for participating in Sunday protest.

Dzianisav went to the protest with his wife and daughter. “Police grabbed our daughter from Ales, when they were arresting him, and ignored her screaming. It was horrible” – said journalist’s wife Natalia.

Another correspondent of Belsat TV, Andrei Fiodor was sentenced to three days in prison, also charged with participating in an illegal protest.
