Shooting in Horlivka: separatists trying to take police office by storm (livestream)


Hundreds of pro-Russian activists have been sieged the police building in Horlivka (Donetsk region). When a separatist hoisted the Russian colours above the building, police officers fired warning shots into the air.

The separatists started to hurl stones at the windows, the police officers throw stun grenades from time to time.

(Upd) After a short-term attack they managed to seize the building and let the policemen leave it.

The separatists appointed a new head of the police in Horlivka and stated that the police patrol and checkpoint service batallion ‘has come over to the people’.


“Someone in camouflage, who introduced himself as lieutenant colonel of army of the RF from Simferopol and showed Russian passport(!!!) “introduced” new chief – a man in civvies Shulzhenko Aleksandr Fedorovich to a part of the personnel of the department in an inner yard at 12.50 pm,” lawmaker of Odessa oblast Council Oleksiy Honcharenko reported in his blog at Ukrainska Pravda.
