Belarusians allegedly spy on Polish military assets: Russian scent?

Two persons suspected of espionage for Russia have been arrested in Poland. According to the unconfirmed information, they are the citizens of Belarus, Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza reports.

The members of the parliamentary commission were informed of the situation at a meeting in the Defense Intelligence HQ on March 12. The sittings were hold in camera, that is why the MPs are tight-lipped.

According to Gazeta Wyborcza, the alleged spies have boosted watching over Polish military assets, which might well be linked with the developments in Crimea.

The Belarusian Embassy to Poland has not received any information on this case yet, Dzmitry Mironchyk, spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, stated. ‘Belarus will check the data with the help of its own channels,’ he said.
