In pursuit of truth: Who killed Mikhail Zhyzneuski?

Ukraine’s Ministry of Interior is trying a theory of the Belarusian-born being shot by a woman.

Although media outlets have presented a lot of statements of persons who allegedly witnessed the murders no one has been reached for questioning, the press office says.

Pro-Russian newspaper Vesti made public a version about a female killer after interviewing some people who called themselves Zhyzneuski’s friends. ‘Frankly speaking, rumours persist. Word on the street is that a woman fired point-blank at him. She came from behind the buses and shot,’ an interviewee named Yury said.

In its turn, the Ukrainian Ministry of Interior appeals to all people who witnessed committing crimes in Hrushevskoho street and could provide any useful information over the case.

Mikhail “Loki” Zhyzneuski, who would have had his 26th birthday on January 26, left Belarus in 2005 and lived in the city of Bila Tserkva near Kyiv. He was killed on the morning of January 22 in Hrushevskoho Street. Ukrainian authorities have claimed that neither police nor state security forces could be involved in Mr Zhyzneuski’s death.
